Boardwalks are a theme I love to paint. Particularly the boardwalks of Salt Pan Creek, a place I have many memories of from childhood to now. It is a quiet place near my home to walk and reflect. The pinks of the boardwalk are beautiful as are the greens of the mangrove trees. In this paintnig, I have made my strong impression of the boardwalk permanent with oil paint on wood. This painting is framed with dark brown wood to complement the wooden feel of the boardwalk. This boardwalk is long and seems to never end, I tried to capture the sense of a long walk where you emerge from the dark to beautiful light and then again return to the dark. I loved painting this and hope that it can be enjoyed by others.
